  Absolutely stunning. We arrived around 6:30pm and were almost alone the entire time. Spent about an hour and a half just exploring, climbing, photographing. So much to see and appreciate here. It totally fulfilled my childhood dreams of exploring (near) forgotten ruins. Crazy beautiful views all around. I just left and already want to go back. And it's free?!! Just incredible - a real national treasure.

  Great views of the Rioja vineyard landscape from atop the fortress complex. Best time is around November, when the vines turn bright yellow and red.

  I like it, the views are worth seeing. Beware the spiral staircase taking you to the observation deck, it moves when people walk up it. The church is also worth a visit. Would I come back? Yes I would! But I really love these types of building.
